Clinical Psychology

As a clinical psychologist I have an in-depth breath of knowledge in a variety of mental health presentations. The benefit of working with a clinical psychologist is that I am able to tailor the intervention to your needs, rather than sticking rigidly to one modality of treatment, instead using my expert assessment and formulation and knowledge of the evidence base to identify a treatment approach that is best for you, drawing on multiple therapy models and types.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It's a collaborative effort between you and a therapist to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical strategies for managing them. Specifically, I am trained in CBT-p, a style of CBT useful for people experiencing difficulties related to psychosis and bipolar

EMDR

EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a type of psychotherapy used to treat trauma and other distressing experiences. Specifically EMDR looks to use bilateral stimulation of the brain to process and eventually desensitise distressing memories.
